The incident occurred during a joint offensive operation involving soldiers from Buryatia and Transbaikalia.
According to the video, the gearbox of the M113 broke while the vehicle was positioned for firing, leaving it vulnerable. The Ukrainian repair team was dispersed by fire from a Russian tank, allowing soldiers to capture the equipment.
“We fired a few shots near it to avoid damaging the vehicle. They fled, we moved in, hooked it up, and recovered it safely despite enemy artillery. We retrieved the vehicle without issues. Our equipment is better,” said the commander of a tank company with the callsign “Chita.”
During the evacuation of the vehicle, Ukrainian Armed Forces launched an offensive against the Russian crew using artillery, drones, and even a chase described as being carried out by “Baba Yaga.” Despite this, the Russian soldiers managed to bring the captured vehicle back safely.
